Prison lsland Tour, The Island of Giant Tortoise
This island is known as prison island, is the one amongst of very interesting island in Zanzibar where the cups of tourists prefer most to visit here and why not you too. Also in the island you will have the opportunity to meet and feed the oldest giant tortoise whose origin from Seychelles since 19 century till now , on this island you can see the old prison, the tortoises, the peacocks and dick dick (small antelope).

Prison Island (Changuu Island) itinerary from Stone Town, Zanzibar, includes a boat trip to the island, a tour of the old prison and giant tortoise sanctuary, and opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing on the beach. This tour begins with a boat ride from Stone Town, either from the Forodhani Garden or the Stone Town waterfront. The boat journey to Prison Island takes approximately 30-45 minutes.
Upon arrival on Prison Island, you'll explore the old prison buildings, learning about the island's history as a former quarantine station and slave prison.
The highlight of the visit is interacting with the giant Aldabra tortoises, some of which are over 200 years old. You'll have the opportunity to feed and photograph these gentle giants.
